American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and KS or compact RN licensure.

• Emergency Dept-Trauma unit within a hospital setting
• Higher volume of behavioral health patients
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)
• TNCC certification renewed every 4 years
• NIH Stroke certification
• CPI/MOAB High-Risk Online Portion completed prior to start, with on-site portion completed at orientation
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current license and primary source verification via Nursys within 30 days prior to start

• Provide direct nursing care and coordinate care across disciplines for ED patients
• Implement and monitor patient care plans while communicating patient condition to the care team
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team
• Carry out physician and nursing orders
• Work in a fast-paced, stressful environment requiring critical thinking and independent judgment
• Uniform requirement: ceil blue scrubs
• Local candidates accepted, subject to radius rules that may affect pay rate
• First-time travelers may be considered
