Quality Inspector – Wichita, Aerospace Manufacturing & Machining
Location:
5338 West 21 St, Suite 100, Wichita, KS 67205, USA
Type:
Full-Time / On-Site
Shift: 3rd Shift: Mon-Thu, 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Responsibilities- Communicate and resolve quality-related issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment by performing 1st part and final inspections as necessary.
- Support the Quality and Manufacturing functions by educating employees on quality systems, quality metrics, and customer engineering.
- Follow the Quality Management System designated work instructions and procedures to ensure a quality product is manufactured.
- Inspect and evaluate product for quality and defects.
- Provide visibility to Production and Quality supervision of potential quality issues, as well as input on internal perceptions associated with Quality and Delivery performance.
- Work with Production and Quality Assurance personnel to perform in-process review and ensure best practices are followed.
- Perform other related duties as required to ensure product conformity, internal and external customer demand, best practices, and adherence to compliance requirements.
- Complete AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs) as required.
- Ensure products manufactured meet all customer and internal requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years of knowledge and experience in a Quality Assurance role with product acceptance authority.
- Experience using different precision measurement instruments.
- Make decisions based on customer/regulatory requirements and coordinate activities; confer with organizational team members at all levels to discuss issues and resolve problems.
- Act as liaison between the organization and outside organizations; work closely with shop floor supervision and employees.
- Ability to perform 1st part, oversight, and final inspections; complete detailed and accurate FAIs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal customers.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex and questionable inspections by asking the right questions to get to the root cause of the problem.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements.
- Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group environments.
- Ability to pass an eye exam.
