This role is at Spirit Aero Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (Spirit Commercial). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, with fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, focusing on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
PositionResponsibilities
- Perform audits of policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with program/contract, company, customer/government, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements.
- Conduct research and use benchmarking to industry standards.
- Conduct quality system/process reviews, provide customer interface, and ensure preventive and corrective actions are implemented.
- Review products, processes, equipment, and measurement systems.
- Develop or utilize statistical process improvement methods.
- Provide technical expertise to company employees, suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements to ensure quality system compliance.
- Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System.
- This position supports 2nd shift.
- 3–5 years of experience in Quality, in a Specialist, Quality Engineer or Management role
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Good communication skills
- Basic Engineering Blueprint/Specification understanding
- Experience working across departments and/or with suppliers
- High School Diploma or GED
- Export Control compliance requirements; must be a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15, including US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
- Proficient in root cause analysis methodology
- Experience in AS9100 or NADCAP audits
- RCCA experience
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-based environment
- Ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources and support requirements
- Bachelor s Degree

Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and variable compensation, with eligible health, retirement and time-off benefits. Pay is based on candidate experience, qualifications, market and business considerations. Summary Pay Range – Associate (Level
2): $63,800 – $97,800. - Kansas Tax Credit:
Eligible for a Kansas aviation tax credit for up to five years; details available from Spirit Aero Systems. - Export Control Requirements:
Position must meet export control compliance; a U.S. Person is required (as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15).
