Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the company adheres to regulatory standards and customer requirements through audits, policy development, and risk mitigation strategies. This role requires promoting a culture of accountability and driving compliance across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare for and manage onsite audits, including hosting external customer and regulatory auditors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to quality and compliance.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for employees on quality systems, regulatory standards, and best practices.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance trends to ensure adherence to new and changing laws.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in a quality role in the aviation industry.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory standards in relation to FAA requirements.
  • Familiarity with industry quality management systems such as AS9100 or ISO
    9000.
  • Experience in coordinating/conducting audits and managing corrective actions.
  • Ability to collect and interpret information to make data-based decisions.
  • Experience working with internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Problem-solving skills with critical thinking and prioritizing abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Previous experience in an organization with ODA designation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
