FY27 Student Worker STEM - Health Science Lab Assistant
Position Type Part Time
Responsibilities- Set up laboratory reagents and materials before labs and return them to storage afterward.
- Ensure labs are ready for Thursday laboratory sessions.
- Clean and organize glassware and Drosophila food vials after labs.
- Maintain live Drosophila cultures by changing food as needed.
- Transcribe laboratory notes and records accurately.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
- Must be enrolled as a student at Friends University.
- Must have completed Biology I or AP Biology equivalent.
- Basic laboratory skills, including pipetting and measuring.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently. Availability
- Available approximately 3 hours before and 3 hours after scheduled labs.
- Additional hours as department needs and student availability allow.
