Summary:

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for all dishware, pots, and pans, and cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.

Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, pantry and refrigerators.
• Sweep or scrub floors.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
• Must take direction well.
• Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
• Regular attendance is an essential job function.
• Position requires the ability to work at all Legends Global facilities in Wichita and Andover.
• Follow rules and regulations of the food and beverage department and Legends Global.
• Other duties as assigned.

Duties:

• Reports to Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in appropriate uniform, for assigned location.
• Follows all rules and regulations which apply to the food and beverage department.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior dishwashing or kitchen work in food service.
• Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
• Positive attitude and neat appearance.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Attend all Training both for food and beverage department and within the venue.

Education and/or

Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good attitude required.
• Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.

• Knowledge of sanitary practices.
• Maintains proper grooming and dress code standards.
• Work ethic encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environment.
• Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail.

Other

Qualifications:

Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.

Physical Demands:

This position requires standing, working with hot water, steam, bending, stooping and lifting up to 45 lbs. substantial standing and walking.
