We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate to play a key role in furthering our vision and mission in our retail area.
Purpose of PositionProvides assistance in the day‑to‑day duties of cashier or clerk for a Goodwill store. To fulfill Goodwill’s mission statement.

- Sorts clothing and textile items. Hangs clothing and puts out wares or other saleable items.
- Visually inspects clothing and performs stock rotation.
- Cleans store including wares shelves, floor, restrooms, etc.
- Responds to customer requests in person or on the phone.
- Assists with receiving donations.
- Operates cash registers, makes change and bags merchandise.
- Help keep the store clean and attractive.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Ring sales on the cash register, make correct change, and bag merchandise.
- Change hanging merchandise as needed.
- Pull merchandise as instructed.
- Perform all administrative and record‑keeping duties as required in the store manager’s and/or assistant manager’s absence, including preparing store report, making daily deposit, and maintaining employee purchase forms.
- Sort clothing and textile items, manually remove hangers, inspect and judge salesability, place salvage items in appropriate containers.
- Hang clothing items, visually inspect and properly hang them.
- Inspect clothing racks, remove unsaleable items, manage salvage area.
- Push rolling rack and remove clothing items as necessary.
- Clean wares shelves, remove broken or unsaleable items, dispose in trash.
- Move items within designated areas as required.
- Answer telephone inquiries about store operations.
- Assist individuals with donations of various items.
- Maintain helpful and courteous relations with all persons who come into the store and coworkers.
- Be familiar with the merchandise and its location.
- Maintain store goals as instructed by the store manager.
- Observe company rules and regulations regarding cash handling, check cashing, employee purchases, etc.
- Follow safety policies and fire prevention procedures.
- Attend required meetings.
- Adhere to safety policies and report violations.
- Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality of records.
- Be responsible for safety and well‑being of all employees.
- Support mission statement and activities of other departments.
- Support accessibility of services and facilities for persons with disabilities and barriers to employment.

- Carry – push/pull while moving up to 50 pounds daily, sometimes up to 100 pounds.
