The OpportunityJoin a 60+ year U.S. manufacturer of amusement rides and people movers—backed by long-term private equity ownership focused on sustainable growth. This isn't a transactional sales role. You'll develop deep technical expertise in trains, trams, and carousels while managing a growing portfolio of zoo and aquarium accounts.
About the RoleThe role combines new business development with relationship management in a tight-knit industry where reputation and long-term client partnerships drive success. Sales cycles range from three months to several years depending on product complexity.

- Maintain accurate records and activity tracking in the company CRM system
- Build technical knowledge alongside engineering and manufacturing teams
- Travel ~50% annually to client sites and industry trade shows
- 2+ years B2B sales experience
- Capital equipment or long sales cycle background (6+ months)
- Technical or mechanical background that supports learning complex products
- Self-discipline to work independently
- Willingness to relocate to Wichita, KS (minimum 2-year commitment on-site, then open to remote/hybrid)
- Genuine curiosity about how things work
- Comfortable building relationships over months/years, not days
- Humble enough to bring in technical experts when needed
- Professional presence appropriate for client-facing interactions at all organizational levels
