Outside Sales Representative - Comm​/Data

Responsibilities

• Develop new prospects and maintain contact with existing customers to promote and sell products in assigned territory.
• Meet or exceed the assigned annual gross‑margin budget by promoting and selling products in compliance with Company pricing policies.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively, reporting potential claims to management.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed and recommend new items for stock.
• Maintain current customer records, files, and reports of business transactions; assist in collection of past‑due accounts.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
• Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.

• Minimum 5 years experience in outside sales; 6+ years preferred.
• 4‑year degree preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to learn the business and work independently to achieve sales goals.
• Strong selling and persuasive skills.
• Extensive travel required, including overnight travel.

Expected base salary of $45,000 per year, dependent on experience.

Incentive eligible based on specific and relevant business metrics.
