Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for:

• Identify, develop and win profitable new business with existing and new customers.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer applications, technical problems, platforms and future requirements.
• Translate customer needs into future products, technologies and capabilities.
• Build and actively manage a focused pipeline of high-value opportunities.
• Lead customer-facing new business process from opportunity identification through proposal and award.
• Develop strong value propositions and clearly articulate why the solution matters to the customer.
• Work closely with Engineering and Operations to develop competitive, executable solutions.
• Maintain awareness of market trends, customer strategies, emerging platforms and competitive activity.

The skills/experience required for the Sales Engineer position are:

• Degree qualified in Engineering
• Demonstrable background in aerospace new business sales
• Commercial mindset with knowledge of profitable pricing
• Willingness to travel up to 50% across the US to visit customers
• Able to articulate highly technical concepts to both technical and non-technical customer contacts
• Demonstrate true ambition for success and career progression
