Position Summary

Performs work in more than one of the maintenance trades: plumbing, electrical, sheet‑metal fabrication, welding, facility repair, painting, and carpentry. Will be responsible for facility upkeep, general maintenance, and routine repairs as well as periodic maintenance on facility equipment. Facility technicians may also be called upon to assist various other trades if requested.

  • Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.
  • Have a demonstrated understanding of high‑voltage applications (480/277 V).
  • Be willing to perform multiple skilled trade assignments.
  • Perform facility upkeep and general maintenance and routine repairs.
  • Perform periodic maintenance on facility equipment.
  • Perform other various duties as needed or as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge and ability to perform work in more than one maintenance trade: plumbing, electrical, sheet‑metal fabrication, welding, facility repair, painting and carpentry.
  • Skill to perform regular general maintenance and routine repairs.
Physical and Environmental Demands

Manufacturing environment may be exposed to noise levels, dust, grime, and heat. Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Tasks include frequently bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing, balancing, reaching with hands and arms, using fine finger movements, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, handling objects, carrying or lifting loads of up to 50 lbs, reading, comprehending, communicating orally, and occasionally sitting. Work may involve lifting up to 100 lbs, reasoning and analyzing, operating motorized equipment, working in confined quarters, and working in high or precarious places.
