As an Engine Technician – Customer Response Team, you’ll be on the front lines of aircraft support—traveling to customer locations to troubleshoot, repair, and return aircraft to service quickly and safely. Your expertise will help minimize downtime and keep critical aviation operations moving around the world.
Location & Schedule- Location:
Wichita, KS (with extensive travel) - Schedule:
Monday–Friday (plus overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed) - Job Type: Full-time Consultant (12-month contract)
- Travel:
Must be available with 2 hours’ notice for assignments up to 30 days
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform engine maintenance on customer aircraft
- Travel to off-site locations to support urgent maintenance and return aircraft to service
- Perform and document work in compliance with manuals, regulations, and safety standards
- Inspect incoming parts and verify proper documentation
- Support multiple maintenance disciplines including avionics, structures, and composites
- Operate ground support equipment and assist with installations/removals
- Monitor and maintain tool inventory and conduct monthly audits
- Provide time estimates and act as a shipping/receiving agent for parts
- Collaborate with team members and customers to resolve technical issues efficiently
- Participate in safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, compliance standards)
- FAA A&P Certificate
- Minimum 3+ years aircraft engine maintenance experience (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2+ years experience on corporate jet aircraft
- Minimum 1+ year experience with aircraft models
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain insurable status
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
- Ability to obtain SIDA badge and required certifications
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and in outdoor/weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and on short-notice travel assignments
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles within aviation
- Experience with return-to-service procedures and inspections
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to train and support other technicians

$41.64 to $51.23 per hour. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan. Associates may be eligible for paid leave including Paid Sick Leave or any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, as well as Holiday pay where applicable.
