1 st Shift: Monday – Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm / Friday 7:00am-11:00am Job Summary
Responsible for the upkeep, repair and safety of facility, equipment and grounds. This is a hands‑on role requiring a broad technical knowledge across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, dock and door systems, and HVAC. The technician ensures a safe, clean and fully functional environment that supports manufacturing operations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform ongoing preventative maintenance and repair of facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and HVAC.
- Maintain and operate HVAC systems, alarms and building automation equipment.
- Support repairs and upkeep of docks, doors and structural building elements.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose issues and implement repairs.
- Perform general facility tasks such as lighting, minor carpentry, grounds care and seasonal upkeep.
- Respond promptly to facility‑related emergencies to minimize downtime.
- Manage and document preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC, alarms, pest control and fire suppression systems.
- Perform and document facility inspections, prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Support compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate with contractor and vendors for specialized service and project support.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associates degree preferred.
- 3+ years of facilities, maintenance or general mechanical experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical system and dock/door equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals and blueprints.
- Skilled at diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions quickly.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of safety and compliance.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and vendors.
- Basic computer skills for work orders, reporting and CMMS system.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varied environments.
- Experience/comfortable working with scissor and boom lifts.
