Work hours are typically 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. May be required/requested to travel to off-campus sites as needed. On-call duty on a rotation basis. Working special events (graduation, homecoming, etc.) is required and 2nd shift as requested.

• Perform general maintenance and repair of campus buildings and off campus houses.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and perform minor repairs on equipment and building components.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of facility plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other systems.
• Perform aesthetic and structural maintenance, including basic carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and snow removal.
• On-call duty on a rotation basis.
• Travel to off-campus sites as needed.
• Participate in special events (graduation, homecoming, etc.) and 2nd shift as requested.

• Up to 4 weeks of vacation.
• 96 hours of sick leave per year.
• Up to 13 1/2 paid holidays.
• Half day Fridays June through July.

• Three years general maintenance experience is required.
• Experience with utility vehicles and basic hand tools is needed.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and withstand extreme hot and cold working conditions, loud noise environments; lift 100 pounds; walk and/or stand for long periods of time, and climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Working in the boiler room requires being exposed to non-weather wet, humid conditions and extreme heat; working inside freezers requires being exposed to extreme non-weather cold.
  
  Position also requires work in high, precarious places, exposure to noxious odors, loud noises, and electrical shock.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position. A motor vehicle report will be run to verify insurability and to become an approved driver by the University’s insurance carrier.
