Window and Door Installer (Construction Assistant)

Full-time, Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Shift: 1st

Overtime:
As Required

Travel Requirement:
Regional travel required

Non‑Exempt

In this role you'll be exclusively installing Pella windows and doors in a variety of settings including residential remodel and new construction, with an emphasis on commercial applications. The job involves trim carpentry skills one day and standing in a boom lift on a commercial site the next. Success requires thinking outside the box and reacting quickly to keep projects moving on schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Install windows and doors in residential and commercial environments.
  • Take direction and understand instruction from the Crew Lead.
  • Complete jobs onsite to Pella installation guidelines and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage time and materials to stay on schedule.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to keep everyone on the same page.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School/GED.
  • 1‑2 years residential construction and/or remodeling experience.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Basic construction‑related math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA certified.
  • Finish carpentry experience.
  • Building construction experience.
Work Environment
  • Exposed to weather‑related conditions, in‑home conditions and commercial building/construction environments.
  • May require local (state) travel and multi‑day overnight stays during the regular work week.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move 8‑inch door panels, 36‑inch wide sashes and 80‑pound loads from floor level several times a day.
  • Must lift heavy oversized glass.
  • Will frequently work from a ladder up to 30 ft in the air, scaffolding, or be exposed to working in buildings and window openings up to 10 stories high with all proper safety equipment and measures in place.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and lift.
