Role DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced equipment operators to safely and efficiently operate construction equipment on job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a strong focus on safety, and experience working in site utility construction environments.
Key Responsibilities- Operate equipment such as excavators, mini excavators, horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment, skid steers, and packers.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Assist with site utility installation, including water and sewer systems
- Work safely around underground utilities and interpret utility locates
- Follow project plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions
- Load, move, and place materials as required
- Communicate effectively with ground crews, foremen, and supervisors
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating construction equipment
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and utility layouts
- Understanding of underground utility installation
- Strong knowledge of job site safety procedures
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of performing job duties
- Site utility experience preferred
- Experience with utility, fiber, gas, sewer, and/or water installations
- CDL (preferred but not required)
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (Required)
- Construction: 2 years (Required)
- CDL A (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Required)
