Job Overview
Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Wichita, KS. You will deliver high‑quality software solutions that meet business goals and adhere to technical standards, collaborating cross‑functionally and enhancing development processes within our Principle Based Management™ culture.

What You Will Do- Build, test, and deploy software solutions while ensuring quality, security, and maintainability.
- Design solutions that adhere to best practices and minimize complexity.
- Identify and propose innovative ideas to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with analysts and technical leads to refine requirements and develop effective solutions.
- Apply business knowledge to enhance and inform technical design decisions.
- Support teams by documenting knowledge and providing technical guidance when needed.
- Utilize Java to build efficient loading and storage solutions.
- Collaborate with developers within the Operations tower and across all KAES capability towers.
- Challenge existing processes and technologies; experiment with new tools and contribute to capability‑wide initiatives.
- Two (2+) years of professional software engineering experience in any object‑oriented programming language.
- Hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) products and tools in a professional environment, building enterprise‑grade, scalable microservices such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, API Gateway, Event Bridge, Dynamo
DB, and S3. - Experience designing and implementing cloud‑native applications and/or custom‑developed solutions.
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, or end‑to‑end).
- Experience working with JavaScript frameworks, including Node.js, React.js, or Angular
JS, using Type Script. - Experience with event‑driven architecture utilizing cloud and serverless microservices.
- Experience working with Agile and Dev Ops methodologies, processes, and tools.
- Experience programming in Java and MVC frameworks.
- Experience learning and applying new technologies and concepts to stay competitive in the industry.
