C3 Engineer

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a contract Software Engineer to support the delivery of high impact software across a mix of front end development, Python back end/API work, and C3 (C3 AI) platform development. In this role, you will partner closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical, working solutions in a fast paced, delivery focused environment.

Responsibilities include building and enhancing modern web UI features with a focus on usability and performance, designing and implementing Python services, APIs, and integrations, developing and configuring solutions on the C3 platform, and participating across the full software development lifecycle from design through production support. You will also troubleshoot defects and performance issues while contributing to team engineering practices such as code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of standards.

• 2+ years professional software engineering experience (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience across web development and back-end development, including:
  • Front end:
    Type Script/JavaScript and common UI patterns (React preferred).
  • Back end:
    Python building services, APIs, or automation.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform or cloud-native stack (AWS preferred; serverless is a plus).
• Experience working with databases and data concepts (Graph databases a plus).
• Prior C3 (C3 AI) platform experience (development, configuration, data modeling, pipelines, or integrations).
• Strong proficiency with React, modern HTML/CSS, and building intuitive UIs.
• Experience designing and maintaining API contracts, authentication/authorization patterns, and integration workflows.
• Familiarity with agile delivery, Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and issue tracking tools.
• Proven problem-solving skills with ambiguous requirements and evolving priorities.
