Full-Stack Engineer

Plektr is an AI-Powered Land Management platform for oil and gas companies. We help oil and gas operators save man hours by automatically extracting, organizing, and mapping data from leases, mineral deeds, and other land documents — turning paper and PDFs into actionable insights.

Were making our first engineering hire — someone who will work directly with the founder to build new features, scale our systems, and lay the technical foundation for the company. Your decisions will directly shape our product, our stack, and how we work as a team.

What Youll Work On

• Build new features end-to-end across our Next.js frontend and Golang backend.
• Design and optimize data pipelines for AI-powered document extraction.
• Expand our GIS mapping capabilities using PostGIS and geospatial data.
• Improve performance and scalability of our Postgres, MongoDB, and PostGIS systems.
• Collaborate closely with the founder to define requirements, make architectural decisions, and ship features quickly.
• Establish and uphold best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.

• Professional experience building and shipping production-grade software to real users.
• Strong full-stack engineering skills with experience in both frontend and backend development.
• Proficiency in React/Next.js, Type Script, and Golang.
• Experience working with SQL and No

• Solid understanding of API design (REST or gRPC).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment with high autonomy.

• Experience building and shipping AI-powered products (LLMs, fine-tuning, data pipelines).
• Familiarity with PostGIS or other spatial databases.
• Experience with microservice architectures.
• Previous experience as an early engineering hire at a startup.
