Software Engineer, Software Testing, Embedded Systems​/ Firmware​/ IoT

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics seeks a Software Engineer to build high reliability software for aircraft instruments, avionics, and power solutions. You will design, implement, and test embedded and application-level software that enhances flight safety and system reliability in a regulated aviation environment. Partnering closely with hardware, systems, and test engineers, you'll translate requirements into certifiable solutions, perform rigorous verification, and support continuous improvement of tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for avionics and aircraft instrumentation products
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and QA teams to deliver reliable, certifiable software solutions
• Implement and test embedded and application-level code following aviation and safety standards
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems to improve performance and reliability
• Document designs, code, and test procedures in accordance with regulated aerospace processes
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement of development tools and workflows
