Job Title:
Class A CDL Truck Driver Job Responsibilities
- Haul material to and from various sites such as gravel, sand, dirt, recycled concrete and other aggregate material.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment before and after use according to DOT and company maintenance checklist.
- Assist heavy‑haul drivers as needed with transporting equipment and material such as pipes, CONEX‑boxes, form systems, etc.
- Ensure loads are tightly and safely secured in or on vehicle; tie rope or secure chains as required.
- Maintain records, logs, and inspection reports.
- Must have a valid Class A CDL driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- 3–5 years of previous experience as an aggregate or material driver is required.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission.
- Experience operating a truck‑and‑trailer configuration (End Dump/Belly Dump); tandem experience is a plus.
- Responsible for the safe operation of your assigned vehicle and load.
- May be required to perform emergency roadside repairs, including tire changes, light bulb and spark plug replacement.
- May assist other workers in loading and unloading vehicles, and could require lifting up to 100 lb or more.
- Must be aware of and obey all DOT regulations and traffic rules.
- Know company safety policies and adhere to them at all times.
- Must maintain a good driving record during employment.
