Part-time Van Driver - AGING & DISABILITIES
Work Schedule: Varied, Monday-Friday 6:00am-6:00pm

Provide ramp and/or lift accessible passenger transportation in a safe, professional and timely manner.
Transport passenger from origin to destination- Drive specialized vehicles
- Drive vehicle(s) in a safe manner
- Comply with traffic laws and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Compliance and Reporting
- Fare collection and logging
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and documentation
- Vehicle up-keep (clean interior and exterior)
- Documentation and recordkeeping of time, ridership and others as required
- Secure mobility devices and medical equipment and carry-ons
- Positive communication
High School Diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years' commercial driving or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience using navigation equipment such as GPS device used in automobiles. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid Kansas driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Dept. of Transportation exam medical card qualifying individuals to drive a commercial vehicle.Three (3) years' commercial driving or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience using navigation equipment such as tablet with GPS software and auto vehicle (AV) locator for route and scheduling updates. Valid State of Kansas CDL Driver’s License with A or B passenger endorsement. Bilingual skills a plus.
