Position Summary

A Shipping and Receiving clerk is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules. Their duties include loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers, organizing incoming stock and putting the appropriate labels on outgoing parcels.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details
  • Create paperwork required for shipments (Packing Slips, Bill of Lading, Bar codes, etc.)
  • Store items received in appropriate storage areas, documenting any changes
  • Accept and document packages and deliveries made to the facility
  • Inspects all orders being received and shipped, checking for damage, defective parts, and missing items.
  • Identify and report shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise to management
  • Apply part mark to parts prior to shipping as required using ink-jet machine and verify part with Quality Assurance
  • Clean ink-jet machine to maintain proper flow and final marking consistency;
    Load ink and properly dispose of spent cartridges
  • Unload trucks of material, parts, and products
  • Operates forklift or other heavy machinery required for transporting large orders and heavy products across the facility
  • Maintain the company finished goods through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
  • Maintain a clearly organized and FOD free warehouse environment
Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Is detail-oriented and capable of noticing small errors and defective orders
  • Maintains physical stamina and strength
  • Works well with others
  • Knowledge of MRP system
  • Valid Driver’s License
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Prior warehouse experience (preferred)
  • Forklift experience and certification (preferred)
