The Inventory Clerk plays a key role in daily warehouse operations, completing tasks such as unloading materials, receiving and stocking inventory, consuming materials for production, and entering data into the system. This position plays an important role in maintaining an organized and accurate warehouse, ensuring materials are readily available to support daily operations and keep shop floor teams building without interruption.
This role works closely with all departments within Manufacturing to ensure materials are delivered where and when they are needed. The position also supports operations at the Red Guard and Armoda service yards. Additionally, the position may interact with outside vendors to check part availability and request product information when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Receives, counts, tracks, and reconciles daily stock inflows/outflows.
- Completes regular cycle counts and audits with supervision.
- Inspects incoming shipments to verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing lists; ensures proper storage in designated locations.
- Pulls, stages, and delivers materials to production areas as assigned.
- Investigates inventory adjustments to prevent future discrepancies.
- Maintains organized files of packing lists for quality inspections, as needed.
- Reviews electronic inventory records to ensure accurate on-hand quantities and proper allocation to the appropriate work order or job.
- Provides service to our internal employees and performs proper record keeping.
- Packages materials for outbound shipments to prevent damage.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and professional storeroom environment.
- Drives to make deliveries and pickups of materials.
- Reviews maintenance logs and inspects interior and exterior equipment conditions to ensure routine servicing is completed for forklifts, trucks, etc.
- 6+ months of relevant experience or on-the-job training in warehouse, inventory, or other supply chain roles.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Experience using inventory management software and performing accurate data entry.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a Medical Card.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Proficient in inventory management software.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel for data tracking and analysis.
- Experienced with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, etc.).
