Position: Warehouse Lead (Mon-Fri 7a-4p)

About the Job

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for the oversight and daily management of a designated sub-department within the warehouse. This role requires a high degree of integrity, reliability, and independent decision-making, as the incumbent will operate with minimal direct supervision. The Warehouse Lead ensures all activities within the sub-department are executed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and applicable compliance and regulatory requirements.

This position serves as the primary point of accountability for the sub-department and reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership by example, demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and adherence to organizational values and expectations.
  • Oversee all operational activities within the sensitive sub-department, ensuring compliance with SOPs, Work Instructions, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the receipt, documentation, and handling of sensitive incoming inventory items with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships with internal customers, cross-functional departments, and key stakeholders.
  • Uphold and enforce high quality standards in all assigned tasks and supervised processes.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve inventory receipt discrepancies, damaged items, and other related issues.
  • Coordinate with the Finance department to reconcile Purchase Order (PO) discrepancies and support accurate financial documentation.
  • Monitor and ensure the efficient flow of inventory receipts through established workflows and process steps.
  • Apply strong inventory control practices to maintain accurate and timely records within the sub-department.
  • Participate in the development, refinement, and implementation of processes, procedures, and departmental improvements.
  • Utilize warehouse skills and operational experience to support daily functions and problem-solving needs.
  • Maintain a high level of computer proficiency, including effective use of ERP systems and related business applications.
Basic Qualifications
  • Prior experience in inventory management, inventory control, or a related warehouse discipline required.
  • Skilled warehouse operational background, preferably within a compliance-driven or sensitive-materials environment.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including significant experience with ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to model expected behaviors and performance standards.
  • High moral character and professional integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive materials and confidential information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Working knowledge of SOPs and Work Instructions, including their proper application in a warehouse or regulated environment.
  • Experience resolving inventory receipt issues and reconciling PO discrepancies.
  • Proven ability to maintain and manage workflows in accordance with established processes.
  • Ability to contribute constructively to process development, departmental success, and continuous improvement initiatives.
