Warehouse Operator

Job Summary

The Warehouse Operator Level 1 is responsible for the transportation of materials between the warehouse and production areas, including palletized and non‑palletized components, semi‑finished goods, and waste. The operator also collects and securely transports bagged trash, debris, and labeled buckets and drums of production waste to the warehouse for further processing, and replenishes supplies such as aluminum trays and production pallets.

The operator reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and maintains contact with the Warehouse Group Leader, other warehouse operators, and personnel from various departments. The role may involve other warehouse functions for which training has been completed, such as assisting in picking orders for production or packaging, and wrapping of semi‑finished or finished product on the wrapping machine.

• Transports palletized semi‑finished product from production areas to the warehouse for storage.
• Transports orders of components from the warehouse to production areas.
• Transports supplies (pallets, aluminum trays, etc.) to production areas.
• Transports orders of central stores items to various in‑zone areas.
• Transports empty and full waste bins of varying hazard classifications to and from appropriate areas.
• Transports documents through the hygiene‑zone to various offices and performs document passthroughs.
• Removes bagged trash and debris from production/formulation areas to the warehouse for disposal.
• Transports properly marked empty waste drums to production areas and returns properly marked full waste drums to the warehouse.
• Transports bins of documents to be shredded to the warehouse for disposal; replaces full shred bins with empties.
• Assists personnel from warehouse and other departments by transporting supplies and equipment to and from various locations within the hygiene‑zone.
• Handles and reconciles controlled substances associated with the preparation and delivery/staging of raw materials used in production, and processes returns from production such as WIP and finished products, maintaining compliance with documentation and accountability procedures.
• Utilizes powered and manual equipment to assist in the transportation of palletized material.
• Anticipates and responds to requests for replenishment of supplies via phone call or page.
• Performs additional warehouse functions as trained, including assistance with picking orders and wrapping of product.
