Material Coordinator
The Material Coordinator manages the physical and administrative activities related to shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and fulfilling orders for merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely order processing, and proper documentation to support smooth operations across warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing lines.
Responsibilities- Perform physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
- Package and prepare products and merchandise for final shipment, ensuring items are securely packed and properly labeled.
- Post and record shipment details, including weights and applicable shipping charges, in an accurate and timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of merchandise shipped, ensuring documentation is complete, organized, and compliant with internal procedures.
- Review customer orders for accuracy and completeness before processing and fulfillment.
- Examine, stock, and distribute merchandise, products, and materials within inventory warehouses, distribution centers, or along manufacturing lines.
- Physically kit parts in fulfillment of sales orders, assembling the correct components for each order.
- Perform low-level assembly of mechanical parts to support order fulfillment and production needs.
- Support inventory control activities such as cycle counts and stock verification to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently, following established procedures to prevent damage and loss.
- Experience in inventory management and inventory control processes.
- Hands-on experience performing cycle counts to verify and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Material handling experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes related to shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution.
- Practical experience in shipping and receiving operations, including documentation and coordination.
- Ability to perform low-level mechanical assembly and parts kitting for order fulfillment.
- Strong attention to detail for reviewing customer orders, recording shipment information, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing materials and products.
Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes in warehouses, distribution centers, or manufacturing lines.
- Experience preparing products and merchandise for final shipment, including packaging and labeling.
- Comfort working with basic inventory systems or tools to track stock and shipments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse, logistics, and production teams.

Work typically involves standing, walking, lifting, and organizing inventory, as well as using standard shipping, receiving, and packaging tools. JobType & Location
This is a contract position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
