Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about providing excellent customer service? We are looking for a Shipping Clerk to play a vital role in our warehouse and distribution operations. In this position, you will help ensure that customer orders are processed accurately, shipped on time, and delivered with the highest level of quality and efficiency.
As a key member of our operations team, you will work closely with warehouse, inventory, logistics, and customer-facing departments to support seamless shipping processes and maintain our commitment to customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and on-time shipment of products.
- Track outgoing shipments and update internal systems with shipment status and delivery confirmations.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, returns, and inventory transactions.
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delivery issues, and order delays.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, transportation regulations, and safety standards.
- Safely operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts to move materials and fulfill shipping requirements.
- Utilize handheld scanners and warehouse technology to ensure inventory accuracy and proper order processing.
- Work independently while maintaining a strong customer-focused approach to order fulfillment.
- Cross-train in other warehouse functions to support overall operational success.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business and customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- Previous shipping experience in a fast-paced warehouse or finished goods environment.
- Experience using ERP systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating stand-up and/or sit-down forklifts.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and maneuver materials through bending, squatting, reaching, and other physical activities.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience using Syte Line (Infor Cloud Suite Industrial).
- Experience with shipping software in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse best practices.
