Responsible for managing the flow of materials and inventory within the organization. This role involves unpacking and verifying incoming shipments, preparing shipping labels for various carriers (USPS, UPS, Fed Ex), and accurately pulling and kitting work orders. The clerk ensures proper packaging, labeling, and bin placement of hardware, conducts weekly cycle counts, and participates in annual inventory audits. Additional duties include delivering items to departments, supporting crib operations, assisting the lead with administrative tasks such as creating ASNs and data entry in Infor, and maintaining organized records of purchase orders.
Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices.
- Unpackage and count incoming shipments, preparing receiving documents and ensuring purchase orders match receivables.
- Prepare shipping labels for USPS, UPS, and Fed Ex.
- Pull and kit various work orders, ensuring accuracy in part numbers, lot numbers, and quantities.
- Package or repackage hardware for stock, label items, and place them in proper bin locations.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts and participate in annual inventory audits.
- Deliver items and work orders to various departments as needed.
- Support employees with crib needs when required.
- Assist the Lead with tasks such as creating ASNs, closing work orders, receiving items in Infor, and clerical data entry.
- Maintain files of purchase orders in the receiving crib.
- Cross‑train to perform other departmental functions.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification.
