This role involves performing a variety of warehouse operations, including moving materials within the facility, operating forklifts and saws, and tracking inventory for hard metals such as steel and titanium used in the aerospace industry. The position is labor intensive and requires the ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment on either first or second shift.
Responsibilities- Move materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate material handling methods and equipment.
- Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, and transport hard metal materials such as steel and titanium within the facility.
- Set up and operate saws and related machinery to cut materials according to specifications.
- Monitor machine operation and follow safety procedures while performing saw operation and other machine tasks.
- Perform general material handling duties, including staging, sorting, and organizing products.
- Support warehouse operations related to shipping and receiving, including preparing, loading, and unloading materials as needed.
- Track and record inventory movements accurately to maintain up-to-date inventory records.
- Follow established warehouse procedures and safety guidelines at all times.
- Work assigned shifts and remain willing to work overtime when required to meet operational demands.
- Experience in material handling within a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Hands‑on experience with saw operation and basic machine operation.
- General warehouse operations, including organization and material flow.
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes.
- Ability to perform inventory tracking and maintain accurate records.
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly as part of daily duties.
- Willingness to work first shift (6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) or second shift (2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.), with flexibility to work overtime when needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience working with metals, particularly hard metals such as steel and titanium.
- Familiarity with aerospace‑related materials or industrial warehouse environments.
- Strong attention to detail when handling materials and recording inventory.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
- Comfort working with industrial machinery and equipment in a production‑oriented setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
