Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Forklift Operator to become a key member of our vibrant team at our Kansas facility. This full-time position is essential in maintaining smooth, efficient warehouse operations by managing inventory with precision and timeliness. This role will be heavily utilizing powered lifting equipment and hydraulic presses. Candidates must be comfortable with equipment and heights.
Primary Duties- Receive, examine, and document incoming shipments for accuracy, condition, and compliance with company standards, ensuring all products meet quality requirements.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, maintaining product integrity and verifying order details to meet customer specifications.
- Ensure the warehouse is maintained in a clean, organized, and safe state by following established safety protocols and conducting routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and proactively address operational challenges as they arise.
- Safely and skillfully operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners, adhering strictly to operational and safety guidelines.
- Participate actively in inventory management through regular stock counts, data entry, and promptly reporting any discrepancies or issues to warehouse management.
- Adhere diligently to all company policies and regulatory requirements, especially those related to workplace safety; report incidents or hazards immediately to help create a safe work environment for all.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process improvements, embracing training opportunities, and helping to implement best practices within the warehouse setting.
- Proven experience working effectively in dynamic and high-volume warehouse environments, demonstrating strong attention to detail and reliability under pressure.
- Competent in operating warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks, with preferred certifications or willingness to obtain these qualifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork and collaboration within a diverse workforce.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic, consistently meeting deadlines and quality standards required for order fulfillment and inventory control.
- Physical capability to perform job duties that include lifting heavy materials, standing for prolonged periods, and repetitive manual tasks while maintaining safety and ergonomics.
- Familiar with warehouse management systems, barcode scanning devices, and inventory software; eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools as needed.
- Strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment by following health and safety regulations and advocating for continuous safety improvements.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred for this role. Candidates who bring prior experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or material handling will have a distinct advantage. Additionally, formal training or certifications related to warehouse safety procedures, forklift operation, or similar qualifications are highly valued and will enhance candidacy.
The US base rate for this full-time position is 19.00. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
