Bring your expertise to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with special needs in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time Special Education Teacher position offers 40 hours per week, with responsibilities centered on fostering individual student growth within an inclusive school community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver district-approved curriculum using designated resources tailored to student needs.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student, ensuring personalized support and compliance with educational standards.
  • Design engaging lesson plans and instructional materials, facilitating individualized and small group instruction.
  • Translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate and accessible learning experiences for all students.
  • Establish and maintain clear behavioral standards, promoting a positive and effective learning environment.
  • Evaluate and document student progress, keeping thorough academic records and maintaining an up-to-date grade book.
  • Identify unique student needs, providing referrals and executing strategies outlined in IEPs.
  • Maintain complete and accurate student records, meeting all district and state mandates.
  • Collaboratively plan and coordinate activities involving teacher aides, parents, and volunteers in both classroom and field trip settings.
  • Foster a nurturing atmosphere by creating functional and vibrant displays and showcasing student work throughout the classroom.

  • Valid Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification.
