PCC Airfoils - SMP manufactures military and commercial turbine blades and vanes for aircraft and land-based applications using different materials and super alloys. The role involves working on automation or engineering assignments aligned with the student s educational focus.

• Apply principles learned in school to hands-on situations.
• Achieve performance goals with progressive responsibility during the co-op.
• Identify and fix electrical and automation problems.
• Attend and participate in weekly departmental meetings.
• Take ownership of identified projects and participate on project teams.
• Work within specifications to meet project goals in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with peers and other departments on new product development, line extensions, and enhancements.
• Work on automation components, PLCs, and HMIs; troubleshoot hardware, electrical, and logic issues while configuring automation.

• Knowledge of electrical engineering.
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of robotic programming is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, VB 6.0, C#, or  is a plus.
• Good writing and interpersonal skills.
• US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.

• Student pursuing a degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.

• $25.00 per hour / 40 hours per week.
• Housing stipend or travel stipend available (if qualified).
• Opportunity for full-time employment upon graduation.
