How You’ll Make an Impact

As a Manager of Retirement Plans
, you will oversee the administration and compliance of our company’s retirement plans, including 401(k), pension, and deferred compensation programs. You’ll be part of our Total Rewards team, collaborating with a diverse group of passionate individuals. In this role, you will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and administration of all (US and Canada) retirement programs (qualified and nonqualified), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with plan documents and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of annual plan audits, including preparation of materials, coordination with auditors, and timely resolution of findings.
  • Lead the preparation, review, and timely filing of Form 5500 and all required disclosures.
  • Administer nonqualified deferred compensation plans, including participant communications, deferral elections, distributions, and compliance testing.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external plan administrators, trustees, auditors, and legal counsel.
  • Monitor regulatory changes (ERISA, IRS, DOL) affecting retirement and deferred compensation plans, updating policies and procedures as needed.
  • Support retirement plans for unionized employees, ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements and effective collaboration with union representatives.
  • Prepare and deliver employee communications and training on retirement plan features and compliance changes.
  • Oversee the administration of defined benefit pension plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accurate, timely processing of participant transactions and benefit payments.
  • Resolve complex participant issues and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate plan documentation and records.
  • Support other benefits and total rewards initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration and compliance, preferably in a large corporate environment.
  • Strong expertise in ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations governing retirement plans.
  • Experience managing annual plan audits and preparing Form 5500 filings.
  • Proven project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward
  • Experience administering non-qualified deferred compensation plans highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; experience with benefits administration systems preferred.
  • Professional certification (CEBS, QPA, or similar) is a plus.
