Job DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Technician supports the Engineering team in day‑to‑day quality activities, with a primary focus on scrap handling, review, and analysis. This role ensures accurate documentation, assists in root cause investigations, and helps maintain compliance with internal quality standards and procedures. The position is hands‑on and requires close collaboration with engineering, production, and quality personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Engineering with daily quality assurance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Review, document, and process scrap materials in accordance with company procedures
- Assist in data collection and reporting for quality metrics and KPIs
- Conduct basic inspections and verification activities as directed by Engineering
- Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities as required
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure proper disposition of non‑conforming materials
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety policies, and regulatory requirements
- Occasionally will be expected to perform production tasks to fill staffing gaps in Wax department
- Support Production team by retrieving supplies from warehouse or satellite facility when required
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in Visual or other quality related inspection is preferred
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, or engineering support preferred
- Knowledge of wax injection or ceramic core processes a plus

Competencies:
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 35 lbs as needed
- Frequent interaction with shop floor environments
- Must have reliable personal transportation
- Manufacturing/production environment
- May require occasional overtime based on production demands
