Production Supervisor Off

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the safe manufacture of company products while satisfying all quality and productivity requirements cost‑effectively. The role involves supervising multiple functions and shifts, maintaining safety, quality, 6s, and process requirements, and handling hiring, training, discipline, and performance reviews for production employees.

• Safely manufacture a quality product while meeting customer specifications and delivery commitments.
• Practice and follow 6s principles daily, maintaining the highest level of housekeeping excellence.
• Ensure all safety requirements, including the Cardinal Rules of Safety, are followed at all times by every employee.
• Ensure engineering and standard operating procedures are current, accurate, and followed.
• Schedule employees to meet production needs and keep vacation/time‑off consistent with plant policies.
• Provide supervision and coaching to department employees to meet or exceed daily product metrics and goals.
• Adhere to process control procedures, operating instructions, and all quality control instructions.
• Manage operational metrics, including TOC, variable cost, and LU targets daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Communicate daily with employees about production needs and general plant communications.
• Control quality, delivery, cost of production, work‑in‑process levels, and monitor production throughput.
• Provide input on the design and installation of equipment for new manufacturing processes.
• Work with employees to resolve technical and personnel problems positively.
• Maintain and enhance a team environment and motivate the production workforce.
• Troubleshoot and provide cost‑effective resolutions to production problems.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all production processes and materials.
• Control cost to manufacture, work‑in‑process inventory, and throughput.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Successful experience in related production operations with supervision and management responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt easily to changing situations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including off‑shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Highly organized, self‑motivated individual who can work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strategic vision for new and future technology to support manufacturing and operational excellence.
• Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma certification.
• Background and experience with 6S implementation and management.
• Proven ability to work hands‑on with the team to achieve objectives.

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related Engineering field; an MS or MBA is desirable.
• Minimum three years of industrial supervisory or similar leadership experience.
• Preferable one to three years of experience in operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive training in manufacturing processes, supervision, and operations management.

The role may require lifting, carrying, standing for extended periods, squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, walking on rough surfaces, climbing ladders or other equipment, and operating in proximity to moving machinery. These activities may occur infrequently to continually, with varying intensities.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations. Compliance may require applicants to be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain required export authorizations.
