Area Manager, Manufacturing ​/ Production Operations Manager

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Overall management and budgetary responsibility for all injection, core prep and NDT operations in the front end of operations

* Manage new employee training and coordinate with Training Supervisor

* Maintain a safe working environment and assure compliance with all EHS requirements

* Ensure adherence to process control procedures, operating instructions, and all quality control instructions

* Responsible for manufacturing methods improvement, productivity improvements and quality/scrap improvements

* Coordination with Human Resources the staffing and personnel deployment decisions

* Plan and execute daily manufacturing schedule for schedule compliance

* Coordinate efforts of Supervisors and Department Leads to solve problems, improve quality, and reduce scrap

* Direct efforts to increase labor utilization and reduce costs

* Ensures a team environment and motivates employees by maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner

* Interaction with Mold Masters internal support organizations (i.e. engineering, maintenance, 6S & quality) in connection with departmental initiatives

* Mange operations within a three shift facility

* Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/

EXPERIENCE:

* Minimum of 5 years experience in Manufacturing Operations

* Minimum of 3 years experience in Manufacturing Direct Supervision

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

* Experience in Investment Casting industry preferred

* Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus
