Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Milling Operator to join our night shift team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC milling machines to prefinish fired ceramic cores, ensuring every part meets our high-quality standards. You'll play a key part in maintaining precision and productivity while working in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set up CNC milling machines, including mounting part-holding fixtures, loading programs, and installing cutting tools.
- Load and unload parts, monitoring for visual and dimensional quality throughout production runs.
- Make minor machine adjustments and program offsets to maintain product accuracy.
- Cut tie-bars on bucket cores and perform precise measurements using micrometers and other instruments.
- Operate CNC machines for inspection purposes and interpret product X-rays as needed.
- Meet department productivity, yield, and quality standards consistently.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area following 6S principles.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated and able to accomplish goals with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues and interacting with internal customers.
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Work a stable 3rd shift schedule with consistent hours.
- Gain hands‑on experience with advanced CNC machinery.
- Be part of a supportive, safety‑conscious team committed to quality and precision.
- Standing, walking, lifting, sitting, climbing, and working near moving machinery throughout the majority of the shift.
