Kiln Operator 3rd Shift

Essential Functions

• Build loads for kilns by properly balancing saggers.
• Place fire check keys in appropriate places for lab analysis.
• Run all thermal equipment, including wax binder and PK furnace, according to procedure.
• Set time and temperature parameters using standard programs; monitor temperature charts and notify engineering if out of specification.
• Correctly load and unload cores.
• Assist with minor equipment maintenance.
• Visually inspect cores for defects.
• Report all problems to supervision, maintenance, or engineering as required.
• Follow and adhere to all safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.

• Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑directed to accomplish goals with minimal supervision.

• High school education preferred.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
