Consolidated Precision Products seeks a Section Manager to lead day-to-day operations in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing area. This role oversees safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while supervising production teams and coordinating labor, equipment, and materials. The Section Manager implements lean and continuous improvement initiatives, analyzes KPIs, and partners with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve issues and reduce defects. The ideal candidate brings hands-on manufacturing leadership experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and employee development.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations for a manufacturing section to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
- Allocate labor, equipment, and materials; manage production schedules and priorities
- Implement and sustain lean, 5
- S, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor KPIs, analyze production data, and drive corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and customer requirements
- Coach, develop, and performance-manage production team members
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance on process improvements and defect reduction
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconformances
- Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to EHS policies
- Support cross-plant projects and standardization of best practices
