Smart Solutions are recruiting a Banksman / Traffic Marshal on behalf of our client at their busy Material Recovery Facility in Widnes (WA8).

This is a key health & safety role, supporting site operations by controlling vehicle and pedestrian movements and ensuring all traffic management procedures are followed correctly.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Overtime Rates

• 1.25x after 45 hours
• Saturdays: 1.5x
• Sundays & Bank Holidays: 2x

• Controlling vehicle and pedestrian movements around site
• Acting as a Banksman / Traffic Marshal within a busy yard environment
• Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed at all times
• Carrying out load checks where required
• Communicating clearly with drivers and site operatives
• Supporting overall site safety and efficiency

• Valid NPORS Banksman / Signaller licence (or equivalent) – essential
• Previous experience working as a Banksman / Traffic Marshal preferred
• Strong awareness of health & safety
• Reliable, punctual, and team-focused approach
• Comfortable working in an industrial / waste environment

• £12.29 per hour + weekly pay
