Job Description
We are seeking an experienced TIG Pipe Welder to join our client's team on a contract basis. This role will involve a mix of site-based and workshop-based work, focusing on stainless and carbon steel pipe welding. The position offers a stable opportunity for someone looking to work locally with a supportive employer that prioritizes employee well-being and long-term job security over high-volume overtime demands.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless and carbon steel pipes in both workshop and site environments.
* Ensure all work meets industry standards for safety, quality, and precision.
* Collaborate with the team to complete projects efficiently from fabrication to installation.
* Adhere to project timelines and specifications while maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a TIG Pipe Welder, with expertise in stainless and carbon steel.
* Valid CSCS or CCNSG certification is essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK driving licence preferred, due to site-based travel requirements.
Location
The role is based in Widnes, with work covering a 15-mile radius. This local focus ensures minimal travel and supports a balanced work-life schedule.
Remuneration
* Basic rate: £24.50 per hour (payable via umbrella, CIS, or limited company).
* Overtime uplift: £3 per hour for both Overtime 1 and Overtime 2.
