Mobile Plant Mechanic

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Mobile Plant Mechanic based in Widnes. The Mobile Plant Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of construction and plant machinery. Daily tasks include conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all equipment adheres to safety and operational standards. The mechanic will also order necessary parts, maintain accurate service records, and collaborate with team members to minimize downtime.

• Mechanic proficiency, with skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining construction or plant equipment
• Experience with preventative maintenance, safety protocols, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, engines, and electrical systems in plant machinery
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in record-keeping and the ability to work independently
• Valid certifications in mechanics or a relevant technical field (preferred)
• A valid driving license and willingness to travel to sites when necessary
• Prior experience in the construction or civil engineering sector is a plus
