HGV Technician Job Widnes area,England UK,Trades / Skilled Labor

We are working on behalf of our client to recruit a Night shift HGV Technician for a well-established commercial vehicle dealership in Widnes, Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled and experienced HGV Technicians seeking to work night shifts in a reputable organisation committed to staff development and operational excellence.

Benefits:

Basic salary of 55,000 per annum, with potential earnings exceeding 57,000 including overtime and bonuses
Working Monday to Thursday nights, from 8:30pm to 7:00am

Duties of a HGV Technician:

Perform maintenance, servicing, and repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers
Diagnose faults using manufacturer technical data and testing equipment
Conduct effective and permanent repairs, ensuring safety and compliance
Complete warranty, contractual, and retail paperwork accurately
Execute preventative maintenance to optimise vehicle reliability and minimise customer costs
Support team members as required, maintaining high standards of vehicle safety and compliance

Requirements of a HGV Technician:

NVQ Level 2 or higher qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (such as City & Guilds or equivalent)
Proven experience in diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial vehicles
Knowledge of work methods and technical data, supplemented by manufacturer training
Full UK driving licence; HGV licence advantageous but not essential
Organised with attention to detail and capable of working independently or within a team
Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
Ability to work night shifts from 8:30pm to 7:00am, Tuesday to Friday
