Overview
GROUND WORKERS REQUIRED (x6) - WIGAN
Contract:
15 July 2026 – 25 September 2026 (approx. 10 weeks of guaranteed work)
We are recruiting 6 experienced Ground workers for a commercial development in the Wigan area.
Hours:
approx. 50 hours per week
Rate: £19.48 per hour CIS
Responsibilities- Deep drainage, pipe laying, and ducting.
- Slab laying, kerbing, edging, and concrete works.
- Assisting machine operators with general ground preparation and excavation.
- Upholding strict site health and safety standards.
- Qualifications:
Blue CPCS card is highly preferred (specifically dumper/roller tickets), but a valid CSCS Card is acceptable for skilled ground workers. - Experience:
Proven track record in commercial or civil groundworks (references will be requested). - PPE:
Full orange or yellow 5-point PPE required. - Reliability:
Must be punctual, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a squad.
