Job DescriptionThe substitute school nurse is responsible for implementing the school health program in the absence of the permanent school nurse and/or providing health services to students who are participating in school-sponsored field trips. The substitute nurse will provide first aid to students Pre‑K through grade 12 and staff, including administering medications, performing ordered treatments, caring for illness, and documenting in accordance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts laws and the policies and procedures of the Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District.
Job Requirements- Must possess a valid Massachusetts license to practice as a registered nurse.
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
- CPR and AED certification required.
- Valid CORI and acceptable fingerprinting results required before employment.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
