Position SummaryThe Hook Truck Driver safely operates heavy‑duty trucks and is responsible for preparing, loading, and transporting containers to disposal sites, transfer or recycling facilities, and customer locations. Hook Truck Drivers will navigate driveways, alleyways, lots, and high‑traffic roadways and may operate in tight overhead environments while on industrial routes. Highly skilled maneuvers are essential to successfully perform this job.

- Performs pre‑and post‑trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
- Immediately report any unsafe situations or service‑related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
- Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by the Company.
- Works closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
- Notifies Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, streets, alleyways, or potential safety hazards.
- Communicate customer requests to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
- Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair or replacement.
- Positions and/or returns containers on the customer's property in a manner that ensures lids and/or doors are replaced and does not block driveway entrances or traffic.
- Follows route assignments as directed and completes end‑of‑day documentation and the checkout process.
- Performs all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
- Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.
- Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.

- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
B. - Must be 21 years of age.
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with an air brake endorsement is a plus.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Complete pre‑employment Department of Transportation screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review.
