Delivery Specialist
Compensation Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour, equal to or exceeding the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance bonuses or premiums based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed.
Responsibilities- Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
- Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage and complete daily vehicle inspections.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform required inspections before operating.
- Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices and collected funds at all times.
- Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete driver return slips.
- Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents or damage to the store manager immediately.
- Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at closing.
- Clock in and out according to company policy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned including customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders.
- Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
- Ability to match alphanumeric sequences quickly.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
- Driving record meeting the company’s 14-18 point system.
- Legally required state driver’s license and compliance with company driving eligibility requirements.
- Familiarity with automotive parts (desired).
- Ability to operate other light store equipment (desired).
- Fluency in multiple languages;
Spanish highly desired (desired).
