Role Description The Director of Emergency Services is a full‑time, on‑site leadership role based at Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, CA. This position oversees the daily operations of the Emergency Department, including staffing, patient flow, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance. The director collaborates with nursing, medical staff, and ancillary departments to ensure timely, evidence‑based emergency care and optimal patient experience. Responsibilities include developing and implementing emergency services programs, managing budgets and resources, monitoring performance metrics, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

The role also entails mentoring and supporting emergency nursing leaders, ensuring adherence to policies and standards, and actively participating in hospital‑wide planning and emergency preparedness activities.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in Emergency Services, including operational oversight and trauma or acute care experience.
• Candidates should possess advanced skills in Emergency Nursing and Nursing practice, with a focus on evidence‑based care in high‑acuity settings.
• Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Medicine as it relates to emergency care coordination, clinical protocols, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Candidates should possess experience in Program Development, including designing, implementing, and evaluating emergency care initiatives.
• Current RN license in the state of California (or eligibility to obtain) and relevant emergency or critical care certification (e.g., CEN, ACLS, PALS, TNCC) are strongly preferred.
• Progressive leadership experience in an Emergency Department or acute care environment, with demonstrated success in managing teams and complex operations.
• Strong skills in communication, conflict resolution, and collaboration with medical staff, hospital leadership, and external partners.
• Ability to analyze data, manage budgets, and drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required;
  Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.
