Position Overview
We are seeking Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our inpatient teams at Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center.
We are currently hiring for:
- Part-Time / Per Diem Advanced Practice Providers — approximately 4–8 shifts per month, with swing and night shifts available
- Swing Shift: 12:00 PM–12:00 AM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
These roles offer flexible scheduling, no procedural requirements, and the opportunity to work within a physician-led, highly collaborative hospital medicine care model.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced inpatient setting during evening and overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality inpatient medical care for adult patients during assigned swing or night shifts
- Evaluate and manage patients, including admissions, cross-cover responsibilities, and transitions of care
- Collaborate with supervising physicians, hospitalists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
- Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation, orders, and workflow management
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other members of the care team regarding patient status and changes in condition
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed
- Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and documentation standards
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license and certification
- Eligible for California medical licensure and/or appropriate California advanced practice licensure
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced hospital setting, particularly during swing and overnight hours
- ACLS/BLS certification required
- Prior inpatient, acute care, or hospital medicine experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
